I can describe Porch & Pantry in three words: Delightful, unique and scrumptious. I had the Left Coast Enchilada which was positively wonderful, a creamy tomato based enchilada sauce which was an inspired american departure from traditional enchilada sauce and the cilantro is a perfect addition. I would describe this as the perfect combination of American style breakfast flavors of bacon, eggs and potato with a Mexican twist. Unexpectedly good. The mushroom swiss quiche which my partner got was quite savory, the crust was divine and neither mushroom nor swiss overpowered the other. Atmosphere was exceptional, quiet and quaint and the bathrooms were very clean especially for a busy morning for the restaurant. If you like brunch and your in Mt. Gretna do not miss this place. PS. The server noticed our table was wobbly and without prompting or asking from us, brought a shim, and fixed it. I've never had a server do this, at any restaurant I've ever been to. I wish I could remember her name because she deserves a commendation.
My favorite food place in Mt. Gretna! Coffee is free and such a good perk. The egg Benedict and Eastwood are so yummy :)
Porch & Pantry is a hidden gem—it’s my favorite place for breakfast/lunch in the area! The food is always great & you can’t beat the Mt. Gretna atmosphere! The restaurant has recently switched owners & I do miss some of the amazing vegan comfort foods that were offered before—like the smothered breakfast burrito & the breakfast burger—but they do still have some vegan alternative options.
It was our first time at Porch & Pantry and are already planning to go back. The food was outstanding. The chef/owner came out and talked with us several times. The waitresses were so friendly, too. I had the Fig & Pig Benni and it was the best I've ever had! You definitely want to try it! We are excited to try their Burgers & Bingo night in August! Already have reservations. Great parking and easy access! A hidden gem!
Amazing food and service!! Went while visiting with friends in Mt Gretna and ended up going back the following day because the food was delicious and there was so much more we wanted to try. Great vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Kiley was our server and she was wonderful and gave great recommendations.Definitely recommend for breakfast and lunch!!
A very nice joint to have a very nice bite & coffee. I really enjoy sitting at their porch, there you can hang with your friends or family to enjoy a heavy or nutritious meal. Everything i had tasted nice and i know people that have been going there to. have lunch since quite a long time :)
Extremely friendly staff, excellent food and nice strong coffee. Had the "fig and pig", the seasonal apple and sausage hash and a sticky bun for dessert. Everything was delicious and totally worth the visit. If your passing through or a local who hasn't tried it out it's definitely worth a visit. We will be back next time we're passing through.
This is very nice little diner that is very much walkable from most houses in Mount Gretna. If you drive there, there's also ample parking. There are indoor and outdoor seats, depending on your preference, I personally love the outdoor seating (basically on the porch, thus the name of the restaurant). Fairly good number of food option, and very well priced. Their bread is made in-house and taste great! Excellent French toast!
